Certificate of Insurance

What do I do if I receive a letter from my Mortgage Company requesting a copy of the Association Insurance Certificate?
Please forward a copy of the letter you receive from your lender directly to Brown and Brown to request a certificate of insurance. It can be forwarded via email to sarasota.certs@bbrown.com. The certificate will be issued from Brown and Brown’s certificate department within 24-48 hours.

If you do not have a letter from the lender, the following information is required to issue a certificate of insurance to the same email above.

  • Mortgagee / Loss Payee Clause of Bank/Lender
  • Loan Number
  • Name of Condo Association
  • Names of Unit Owners
  • Property Address with Unit Number
  • Return Fax/Email of Bank/Lender
  • What you are requesting – Flood Declaration Page, Certificate of Insurance or Both the Certificate of Insurance and Flood Declaration Page?

Brown & Brown’s Certificate Department will issue the certificate to the mortgage company and will reach out if additional information is needed. Brown & Brown never sends out renewal certificates unless the mortgage company requests it since mortgage companies change and also may require additional information to be put on the certificate.
